Dwyer Model 450A-1 digital pocket size carbon monoxide meter

28 February, 2011 | Dwyer Instruments (Aust) Pty Ltd

The Model 450A-1 digital pocket size carbon monoxide meter measures the ambient concentration of carbon monoxide (CO) in the environment and displays the measurement on the two-line digital LCD screen. Besides the measurement, the maximum recorded CO value since the last reset is shown. An audible carbon monoxide alarm gives warning of CO levels above 25 ppm. For viewing in poorly lit environments, the built-in back light brightens the display.

Dwyer AQS-1 AQStick ambient VOC monitor

28 February, 2011 | Dwyer Instruments (Aust) Pty Ltd

The AQS-1 AQStick ambient volatile organic compound (VOC) monitor is used to monitor ambient air quality by detecting the VOC content in the air. Some common sources of VOC contamination are carpets, building materials, paints, cleaners and tobacco smoke. Even low concentrations of these compounds can affect building occupants’ comfort. A computer’s USB port provides power for the sensor and the LED lights which change colour in accordance with the ambient air quality.

Vanton Solar Powered Chemical Dosing System

28 February, 2011 | Acromet (Aust) Pty Ltd

The weatherable Solar Powered Chemical Dosing System from Vanton Pump and Equipment Corp features a nonmetallic, peristaltic pump for corrosion-free transfer of caustic and acidic treatment chemicals from an integral thermoplastic storage tank to water and wastewater containment facilities in remote locations.

Quickbund portable bunding system

28 February, 2011 | Spill Station Australia

Constructed from X-R5, a highly chemical-resistant material, the Quickbund portable bunding system has a variety of applications from mining exploration to mobile generators and bulk liquid transfer. The fold-down wall makes access for trucks, forklifts and pallet jacks easy.

OnVu ICE time temperature indicator

28 February, 2011 | BASF Australia Ltd

The OnVu ICE time temperature indicator can be used on food packaging to monitor the cold chain for chilled and deep-frozen food. Manufacturers, retailers and consumers will be able to tell at a glance whether ice-cream, pizza, fish or any other products were kept constantly deep-frozen or should rather be discarded because the cold chain was interrupted significantly.

Green Machines 500ze lithium-ion powered vacuum street sweeper

28 February, 2011 | Tennant Australia Pty Ltd

The Green Machines 500ze lithium-ion powered vacuum street sweeper is suitable for city centres and pedestrian areas. Due to its near-silent operating mode and zero emissions, it is also suited to clean in sound-sensitive environments such as schools and hospitals in the early morning or late at night. The lithium-ion batteries allow it to run for a full-day working cycle.

Fluid Components International ST51 air/gas flowmeter

28 February, 2011 | AMS Instrumentation & Calibration Pty Ltd

The ST51 air/gas flowmeter from Fluid Components International (FCI) provides industrial plant engineers with a solution for greenhouse gas (GHG) monitoring and supports the EPA’s BACT (Best Available Control Technology) initiative in the US. The flowmeter is suitable for the measurement and monitoring of industrial plant greenhouse gases. It features a no-moving-parts design that’s non-clogging and operates over a wide flow range with low-flow sensitivity. Packaged in an explosion-proof transmitter, the calibration is matched to the user’s actual gas composition and installation conditions.

Dwyer Instruments SBLT2 submersible level transmitters

17 February, 2011 | Dwyer Instruments (Aust) Pty Ltd

The SBLT2 and SBLTX submersible level transmitters, suitable for use in harsh applications, both measure the height of liquid above the position in the tank referenced to atmospheric pressure. The transmitters consist of a piezoresistive sensing element, encased in a 316 SS housing. The bullet-nose design protects the diaphragm from damage.

Micromeritics ASAP 2050 Xtended Pressure Sorption Analyzer

24 January, 2011 | Particle & Surface Sciences Pty Ltd

The fuel cell and its chemical energy source, hydrogen, have received much recent attention as a promising long-term solution to the world’s energy needs. Developing storage technologies involving advanced materials and the conversion of hydrogen to useful forms of energy are of critical importance. A fundamental understanding of hydrogen physisorption/chemisorption processes and adsorption/desorption kinetics is needed to optimise hydrogen uptake and release capacity rates. Knowledge of chemical reactivity and material properties, particularly with respect to exposure under different conditions (air, moisture, etc), needs to be gathered.

Turner Designs PhytoCyt flow cytometer

24 January, 2011 | Aqualab Scientific Pty Ltd
