MultiTrode has launched the latest version of PumpView, its web-based SCADA system for water and wastewater utilities. Monitoring and control of pump stations with traditional SCADA can be complex, with high costs.
Being web based, PumpView provides an easy to use, powerful SCADA solution. Authorities can try the system without spending any money on design and then pay to use the system on a month-by-month basis.
The solution is secure, with the only capital costs being field hardware. It reduces operational costs and provides access to remote information easily. The only IT requirement is a web browser and an internet connection. The first site can be up and running in a couple of hours.
The latest version has been completely rebuilt and updated to support the full capabilities of MultiSmart, the ‘out of the box’ pump station manager from MultiTrode. MultiSmart uses open protocols, is intuitive, can control up to nine pumps, display and manage hundreds of points of information and log more than 50,000 events.
Using PumpView in conjunction with MultiSmart completes the management and control loop, providing optimal control and data collection, managed through a web browser securely over the internet.
There is no software to install, no servers to purchase and no radio repeaters, PumpView puts monitoring and control back in the hands of operational staff. When a MultiSmart is set up in the field, the PumpView server automatically configures the web-based display and alarming system to match. PumpView software is hosted in a secure data centre and the use of virtual private networks (VPNs) for communications ensures security and reliability.
