Ultrasonic flowmeter for water

The Prosonic Flow 91W clamp-on ultrasonic flowmeter is designed for the water and wastewater industries. It is also designed to meet the requirements for hot and cold water applications. It can be installed on all pipe systems used for water services including mild steel, stainless steel, ductile iron, PVC, PE and GRP, among others.

Since the flowmeter is strapped to the outside of the piping, the need for shutting the process, cutting and flanging the pipe is removed, generating savings in time and material. Unlike conventional water flowmeters, the same model of 91W can be used over a wide range of pipe diameters, from DN100 to DN400.

The software tooling package consists of the sizing software, Applicator Sizing; the plant asset management tool, FieldCare based on FDT (field device tool) technology; and the test and simulation tool, FieldCheck.

Applicator Sizing provides the actual sensor spacing based on the specific application data. This feature allows off-site preparation of the mechanical installation.

FieldCare offers remote configuration and status monitoring of all intelligent Field devices including Prosonic Flow 91W via the HART interface.
