Grundfos has added a range of submersible stainless steel mixers to its existing range of flowmakers and mixers for wastewater and sludge.
The AMD range is suitable for water and wastewater treatment plants, industrial processes, sludge treatment and agriculture, and designed for use in tough environments.
The mixers and flowmakers have a modular design, which makes them easy to maintain and service. All parts are manufactured from specially selected materials, and each component is thoroughly tested for reliability and durability before assembly.
The direct driven AMD mixers range from 0.75 to 4.5 kW, and are in addition to the gear driven mixers that are available in the range from 1.5 to 18.5 kW.
Flowmakers are available in the range from 1.3 to 4.0 kW.
Features include: 316 stainless steel motor; direct driven propeller; self-cleaning energy efficient propellers designed for heavy-duty operation; protecting ring between propeller and motor housing; standard leak sensor in the oil chamber (1.5 to 4.5 kW); no need for special tools for repair or maintenance; and integrated motor bracket.
The mixers are energy efficient and have integrated motor brackets, which makes them compact and reduces the number of installation components.
Typical applications include: pumping stations; stormwater tanks; biological treatment of activated sludge; treatment of primary and secondary wastewater; sludge storage tanks; homogenisaton tanks; slurry and biogas; paper industry; paint and dye-stuff mixing; chemical industry; and sludge treatment.
