Newcastle Airport receives 5 Star Green Star Buildings certification

The terminal expansion at Newcastle Airport has achieved a 5 Star Green Star Buildings ‘As Built’ certification from the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA).

The certification assessed a range of sustainability initiatives incorporated into the terminal expansion, including energy efficiency, operational performance, environmental impact reduction and sustainable building practices.

This video shows a flythrough of the design of the International Terminal expansion at Newcastle Airport, including the solar covered carpark, new Arrivals area and the Hunter Light space.
