The SBLT2 and SBLTX submersible level transmitters, suitable for use in harsh applications, both measure the height of liquid above the position in the tank referenced to atmospheric pressure. The transmitters consist of a piezoresistive sensing element, encased in a 316 SS housing. The bullet-nose design protects the diaphragm from damage.

The series DX differential pressure switch can be used for low differential pressure indication with setpoint on a decrease of pressure as low as 1 psid (0.07 bar). Differential setpoint ranges are available from 2.5 to 75 psid (0.17 to 5.17 bar) on increasing differential pressure and 1.0 to 67 psid (0.07 to 4.62 bar) on decreasing differential pressure. The unit features a high static pressure rating of 200 psig (13.8 bar) for higher static pressure applications. It comes standard with a weatherproof, UL type 4X enclosure for dust-laden, outdoor or washdown installation environments.


Water treatment for coal seam gas industry

QGC, an Australian coal seam gas explorer and producer, has signed a contract with a consortium of GE and Laing O’Rourke for the construction of a water-treatment plant in south-west Queensland that will support the region’s rapidly growing coal seam gas industry. Coal seam gas is a form of natural gas trapped in coal beds by water and ground pressure. High salinity water is produced as part of coal seam gas extraction, which must be treated in an environmentally responsible manner.
