Filter technology

The Baleen Filter is claimed to be able to remove matter from virtually any water stream. The innovative, self-cleaning method enables screenings to be collected without the need for shutdown maintenance.

The filters can be readily installed to meet specific applications and can be used either independently or alongside existing treatments, to allow chemical-free filtration to as low as 25 µm.

Benefits include: reduced plant maintenance; recycling or re-use savings; and spade-able by-product recovery.

Whatever the application, the filters can remove fine constituents such as product debris, sediment, hair, oil, sludge and grease.

They are designed for inline use in traditionally difficult applications, and can remove fine or troublesome matter including ‘bio foulants’ from industries such as: meat and dairy and by-product processing; fruit and vegetable packing; food, wine and beverage manufacturing; sewage and sewerage; town and city water supply; and manufacturing and textile factories.

The filters are suitable for all wastewater management systems. They are technically feasible, economical and require minimal supervision and maintenance.
