Sanitising solutions for food preparation at ICC Sydney
The International Convention Centre in Sydney (ICC Sydney) is using eWater Systems’ on-site generators, which use electrolysis to create cleaning and sanitising solutions using only water, salt and electricity. The solution is designed to keep harmful chemicals out of the environment.
Lynell Peck, Director of Culinary Services for ICC Sydney said implementing the system has meant they had cut down on disposable plastics and prevented toxic chemicals from entering into rivers, lakes and oceans.
“Our team of event professionals proactively embeds the use of safe and sustainable resources across our operations and one of the many solutions that we are proud to have implemented since opening is the use of eWater Systems throughout our culinary kitchens and services,” she said.
“The advanced cleaning and sanitising technology of eWater supports safe and hygienic food preparation, protecting the integrity of the produce for all ICC Sydney events and is used for handwashing, and cleaning and sanitising equipment and hard surfaces.
“The wellbeing of our attendees and team members is of the utmost importance and the use of eWater Systems aligns with ICC Sydney’s dedication to sustainability as a core business practice.”
eWater System is TGA-registered, B Corp certified as well as Australian Organic Certified.
