Worth ‘Mother Ship’ will take on any cleaning task

Worth Recycling is a major contractor organisation involved in projects within a range of industries, including mining, marine and the industrial sectors. A ute-mounted Aussie Hydrotek diesel-powered portable steam cleaner is an essential part of Worth Recycling’s high-pressure cleaning program. Nicknamed the ‘Mother Ship’, the ute-mounted diesel drive machine draws its water from a tank installed on the back of the vehicle.
The machine provides portable steam cleaning up to 5000 psi and temperatures of up to 120°C. The steam melts grease, fat and even graffiti while the high pressure blasts away any ingrained material, including surface rust. The machine is powered by a 20 hp Kubota water-cooled diesel engine that provides lots of torque to the pump.
“The pump delivers a whopping 19 litres per minute flow and 5000 psi. That’s a dynamic combination,” said Aussie Pumps Product Manager Adam Scully. “Teaming that combination of pressure and flow with high-pressure steam can remove just about anything.”
The machine incorporates a high-pressure relief valve. It comes with a high-pressure gun, lance and hot-water-rated 5000 psi hose assembly. The machine can be matched to a stainless steel 5000 psi hose reel that can carry up to 70 m of high hose. This is useful for big jobs like earthmoving plant, hard-to-access buildings, mines, quarries and industrial steelwork.
“The Mother Ship can clean anything from concrete batch plants to blocked drains in schools, council-operated park facilities or industrial sites,” said Scully.
A heavy-duty, hot-water-rated Aussie turbolance can also be supplied as an option. The turbo enhances the high-pressure jet, providing the user with an impact the equivalent of up to 8500 psi.
“The turbo doesn’t make the machine work any harder,” said Scully. “It just takes the velocity generated by the positive displacement pump and ‘spins it’. This provides a ‘hydraulic multiplier’ that simply gets jobs done faster and more effectively. A turbo can cut cleaning times by half!
“Worth’s Mother Ship is a tremendously versatile vehicle, famous for its reliability in the fleet,” concluded Scully.
