Watercheck is a rapid field test kit that enables users to obtain quantification for total coliforms and E.Coli on site and within a day.
Bacterial testing results can be achieved in ¾ to 9 h. The results can then be used in daily risk management and effective incident control. The real-time results allow for quick and informed decision making.
A colour-change-based approach facilitates the automation of the testing process. The portable Micromagic instrument incubates Watercheck, takes spectrophotometric readings every 15 s and logs the data as well as instrument calibration back to a computer.
The imminent Phase II release will feature GPS for mapping and GPRS for Oracle database communication or alarms/SMS alerts.
