Supplying 52 plants in China
In August this year, the KSB Group signed a framework agreement covering the supply of pumps and mixers for 52 municipal effluent treatment plants in China. The order is for a total of 335 mixers and 466 wastewater pumps of different types and sizes.

The effluent treatment plants are being built in the north-eastern and western parts of the south Chinese province of Guangdong. In recent years, the province has greatly increased its wastewater treatment capacities. Guangdong is home to tens of thousands of factories located in the Pearl River delta which produce approximately a quarter of all goods exported from China. It is estimated that the cities of Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Dongguan and Foshan, only several kilometres apart from each other, have a total population of some thirty million inhabitants.
Despite major investments made in the past, the capacities of the existing effluent treatment plants are far from sufficient to handle the vast amounts of industrial and domestic wastewater that have to be cleaned.
KSB secured the order because of its success with similar orders from the Chinese wastewater market completed in the past.
KSB products are used in the water and wastewater sector, building services, industry energy generation and mining. Its products can transport almost every sort of fluid, including clean water, aggressive and explosive media, and mixtures of liquids and solids.
