Workshops to remove e-waste from your workplace
As part of the 16th Annual Sustainable Living Festival, being held this month in Melbourne, there will be free workshops for organisations looking to responsibly manage unwanted electronics and batteries.
Presented by MobileMuster, EcoActiv and Storage King, the one-hour workshops will teach participants how to set up user-friendly recycling within the workplace and what happens during the recycling process. They will also include:
- case studies from organisations that have successfully implemented e-waste collection, re-use or recycling;
- a checklist for best practices; and
- resources that will guide environmentally responsible management of electronics and batteries.
Attendees can ask questions from the workshops’ recycling experts and pick up an e-waste recycling box or mobile phone recycling unit. Light refreshments will be provided.
The workshops will be held on 12 and 13 February from 11 am-noon. Places are limited, so register to attend at http://www.slf.org.au/event/go-e-waste-free-workshop/.
