Trility to rehabilitate Redcliffe Sewage Treatment Plant
Private water utility Trility is has announced an important contract award by Unitywater, the statutory authority that provides water supply and sewerage services to Moreton Bay and Sunshine Coast customers.
Following a competitive procurement process, Trility has been selected to deliver the design, build, operate and maintain contract for the rehabilitation of South-East Queensland’s Redcliffe Sewage Treatment Plant. The plant services residents and businesses in the Redcliffe Peninsula and surrounding areas.
The contract includes the operations and maintenance of the plant through to 2022 and the delivery of a design and build phase for rehabilitation of the sewage treatment plant. Once rehabilitated, it will provide services for approximately 70,000 equivalent persons.
Trility Managing Director Francois Gouws said his company was “delighted to have the opportunity to build a strong working relationship with Unitywater”.
“We are fortunate as the Unitywater team has put significant effort into improving and optimising the existing plant since 2012,” Gouws continued. “We are pleased to be able to form a partnership to continue their excellent work and support Unitywater in providing efficient and effective services to the communities within the Redcliffe Peninsula.”
