Enersave Australia, a joint venture of specialist engineering and manufacturing companies, Enersave Engineering Systems of Malaysia and local Australian company, Steri-flow Filtration Systems, has been established to service the growing Australian market demand for high-quality water and wastewater solutions.

Enersave Australia is already successful with the award of a major contract to supply and build an ultra pure water system for the power generation industry in Western Australia. The company is globally accredited to provide ultra pure water (UPW).

The specialist knowledge and experience developed and used in the UPW sector has also been transferred to reverse osmosis (RO) and ultrafiltration (UF) sectors, with specific success in the design, construction and operation of desalination plants and potable water supplies. Enersave groups these technologies as integrated membrane technology (IMT).

Combining with the specialist knowledge of Enersave is Australia's Steri-flow Filtration Systems. Steri-flow develops and manufactures sintered stainless steel micro-filter membranes and systems from their Adelaide-based facilities.

The micro-filter is an adjunct to membrane-based systems such as desalination plants, as it is highly efficient for the removal of suspended solids down to 0.2 micron, which would normally foul and quickly block the expensive spiral wound specialist membranes located downstream within the process.

The formation and establishment of Enersave Australia provides a large knowledge, experience and manufacturing base of "˜water excellence' to the Australian water and wastewater sectors.
