Clean up New Zealand's e-waste

Thursday, 27 September, 2007

eDay is a drive-through recycling event which gives local households the opportunity to dispose of old computers or mobile phones in an environmentally sustainable way. It will be held in 12 locations across New Zealand, 29"“30 September.

It aims to increase community awareness of the hazardous nature of electronic equipment, making it clear that disposal in landfills is not a sustainable option. It also provides a mechanism and convenient drop-off points for households and community organisations to dispose of computer equipment and mobile phones in an environmentally sustainable manner.
