Australian-based environmental technology goes worldwide
Garry Baker, CEO of Australian-based environmental technology developer Ozmotech, has announced the finalisation of a new corporate structure to manage the international operations of the ThermoFuel plastics-to-diesel system.
Central to the structure is the establishment of Envirofuel Limited, a company that will be based in Europe.
Envirofuel’s core strategy is to expand the ThermoFuel technology in conjunction with regional partners around the world. The first of these is between Envirofuel and Cynar plc in Ireland to establish Envirofuel Europe Limited, which will operate in the European market and enter into joint ventures with partners from the waste management and recycling industries.
The joint venture will wholly own and operate ThermoFuel plants and be responsible for management of the plant including feedstock acquisition and fuel distribution.
Baker said three more regional partnerships are close to agreement, two in the United States and one covering Australasia.
Baker also announced the appointment of Paul Murray as CEO of Envirofuel. Murray is an international executive who spent the last 10 years with Royal Dutch Shell.
Most recently, Murray was vice-president of Strategy & Portfolio (including M&A) for Shell Energy Europe, prior to that he was general manager and vice-president of Shell’s USA Industrial Lubricants business. He has also held positions as VP Marketing Shell Consumer and global head of Forecourt Fuels. Prior to joining Shell, Mr Murray held a number of senior executive positions with the Kellogg Company.
