Schneider Electric welcomes its class of 2013 graduates
Schneider Electric, a global specialist in energy management, today announced that 12 engineering graduates from Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane are preparing themselves to take part in the company’s Energy Generation Graduate Programme Assessment Days, beginning in Sydney and Melbourne during May.
Sam Lumley, a Schneider graduate, is looking forward to the career opportunities that Schneider Electric’s diverse business units offer.
“Choosing a career path can be a difficult task; however, after hearing about all aspects of Schneider Electric, I know I have made the correct decision,” Lumley said. “I feel extremely privileged to have the opportunity to work for such an amazing company.”
The graduate program takes two years to complete; during that time, graduates are rotated through different business units such as industry, infrastructure and buildings to get a feel for the company.
The program helps to develop graduates competencies in technical, energy and end-user solutions, sales, project execution and leadership. The graduates will, over the course of the program, acquire an in-depth overview of Schneider’s business, its customers and their needs.
Schneider also offers stand-out graduates the option of a short-term overseas placement upon completion of the program.
Senior managers from across Schneider Electric have trained and appointed mentors for two years to ensure the graduates are set up for success.
“It’s not only about how smart or tech savvy the graduates are; we are also searching to identify those with leadership potential and a passion to help us in solving the world’s energy dilemma,” said Pip Russell, Schneider Electric Human Resources Vice President.
Schneider Electric is pleased to formally congratulate the following graduates on beginning their first placements:
