An Australian-owned and run water technology provider has completed its third major acquisition in 18 months and has also found a private equity partner to enable further expansion.

Brisbane based NBC Capital, boutique private equity investors, have bought a non-controlling share in leading Australian water technology provider, Noblewater.

Managing director of NBC Capital, Bruce Scott, said the investment was perfectly timed to capitalise on growing demand in the water industry.

"Noblewater has rapidly achieved a diversified business across all water-related industries," he said.

The Noblewater group has expanded their products, services and technologies in water treatment and purification.

"In sturdy partnership with Noblewater's managing director, John Noble, we expect the company's strategic and financial future to perform strongly, based on our combined experience, skills and networks," he said.

"NBC Capital's investment in Noblewater will unlock new value and drive growth, particularly in light of the current water crisis."

Noblewater's managing director, John Noble, believes the private equity investment will help the group to capitalise on its existing business base including the recent acquisition of IBC Water, which provides water filtration and conditioning products for commercial, residential and industrial use.

"As a wholly Australian-owned and operated company, our aim is to become Australia's number one provider of water re-use solutions," he said.

"Our rapid expansion is a reflection of the strong need for new products and services that will resolve the water-related challenges facing industry and the community."

"We saw an opportunity to deliver the solutions Australia needs by supporting the development of specialist companies like IBC, A1 and ATS, under one all-Australian company banner."

"Our forward plan is to grow our role in providing some of Australia's biggest water users with more sustainable options for water use," he said, adding that the full range of water re-use services such as recycling, filtration and reclamation will also be included.
