Last chance to enter 2012 savewater! awards
Only seven days remain for businesses, individuals and organisations to be nationally recognised for their water-efficient projects and efforts. Entries for the national 2012 savewater! awards close on Friday 20 July.
Now in their 10th year, the awards aim to recognise and reward excellence in water conservation and efficiency by business, schools, government, local communities and individuals. The CEO of the savewater! Alliance, Nigel Finney, says that entering the awards gives people the opportunity to be officially recognised for their water-efficiency achievements.
“Many businesses, community groups, government departments and individuals are implementing world-leading water-efficiency initiatives and these awards provide an avenue for them to be acknowledged and rewarded for their efforts,” Finney said.
The savewater! Alliance is honoured to be hosting the prestigious 2012 Prime Minister’s Water Wise Award as part of its savewater! award program, which recognises water-saving commitment within the commercial and industrial sectors. These typically account for 15-20% of all water used in Australia.
Entries are open in eight categories, as well as the Prime Minister’s Water Wise Award:
- Australian Achiever
- Business
- Community Groups
- Educational Institutions
- Government
- Photographic Award (open internationally)
- Product Innovations (open internationally)
- Water Utilities (open internationally)
Winners will be announced at a gala ceremony to be held in Melbourne in October.
