Event management workshops and masterclass
As part of an upcoming series of event management workshops, organised by the Australian Centre for Event Management (ACEM), Cameron Little of Sustainability Systems and Services will lead the workshop ‘Sustainable events: policies, procedures & practices to improve your performance’, providing an overview of the core sustainability principles relevant to the events industry.
The workshop will be held on 1 July, with other workshops from 2-4 July covering event marketing, event safety and creativity. The workshops will be a forum for knowledge on best practice in event management, suitable for young professionals trying to break into the events industry or experienced managers wanting to update their skill set.
A two-day Festival Management Master Class will also be held by ACEM from 13-14 June, hosted by the newly appointed Director of the London Festival and former Edinburgh Fringe Festival Director, Paul Gudgin. Gudgin’s experience as a director of the world’s largest arts festival has made him an internationally sought-after speaker and trainer in the events industry.
Designed for festival management professionals and tourism and economic development executives, the class will cover the key tasks and challenges faced by festival organisers including marketing, media, programming, managing festival infrastructure and venues, sponsorship and fundraising, and approaches to evaluation.
The masterclass and workshops will be held at the UTS Haymarket Campus. Places are limited, so head to www.acem.uts.edu.au to book today.
