EnviroSuite completes sale of consulting practice
EnviroSuite has announced the completion of the sale of its entire Pacific Environment consulting practice, including DLA Environmental (together PEC), to Environmental Resources Management (ERM), a leading environmental and sustainability consulting group.
With offices across Australia, PEC and DLA specialise in air quality and noise, contaminated land, groundwater and surface water consulting. Combining ERM’s global client relationships and extensive environment and social consulting team with PEC and DLA is expected to provide additional technical resources and senior leadership to increase ERM’s potential, with significant growth opportunities across Australia and into Asia.
“Like ERM, Pacific Environment and DLA have developed a very strong reputation for professional excellence and client service,” said ERM CEO Keryn James. “We have pursued this acquisition with great enthusiasm and we are confident that it will provide an opportunity to expand our respective offerings to existing clients, as well as a stronger capability and track record for us to pursue new clients in key markets together.”
Initially announced around one month ago, the $15 million agreement is part of EnviroSuite’s strategy to shift focus solely to its software-as-a-service platform, which provides a range of monitoring, management and reporting capabilities. All 75 staff in EnviroSuite’s consulting practice will transfer to ERM, while the remaining software sales, marketing, development, implementation and support teams will focus on building and supporting a global customer portfolio.
“This is a transformational transaction for EnviroSuite as it becomes a focused, well-funded, global SaaS technology business,” said Robin Ormerod, EnviroSuite’s founder and managing director. “I would like to thank the staff of EnviroSuite, our legal advisers Addisons and corporate advisers TMT Partners for their assistance in the transaction. We look forward to working with ERM as one of our partners in the globalisation of the EnviroSuite platform.”
