Sustainability conference and exhibition for Australian businesses
Taking place at the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre from 8-9 November 2012, Australian Sustainability combines a diverse exhibition with an interactive multistreamed conference and seminar program. Companies from several areas of sustainability will be exhibiting at the event, the latest three being SolarSwitch, OgilvyEarth and Zero Waste Australia.
SolarSwitch is an Australian-owned solar power and energy-efficiency company committed to providing affordable solutions in solar power, solar hot water and energy-efficient lighting to the residential and commercial markets. The company works to deliver innovative, sustainable and cost-effective solutions to meet individual clients’ specific requirements.
“Australian Sustainability is perfectly timed as businesses are now realising just how important sustainability is for businesses,” said Kevin Ferrari, General Manager of Sales and Operations, SolarSwitch.
“We look forward to presenting the options and exciting opportunities to businesses looking for sustainability solutions.”
SolarSwitch has installed over 6000 residential and commercial solar electricity systems across Australia, and has worked with clients like Ricoh Australia, Sutherland Shire Council and Blacktown RSL.
Sustainability communications organisation OgilvyEarth helps businesses realise the benefits of environmentally and socially responsible practices by helping them communicate their actions and values to stakeholders and the community.
The company builds integrated campaigns by combining expert sustainability knowledge and drawing on Ogilvy’s expertise in media, public relations, brand reputation, corporate social responsibility, government relations, B2B, consumer communication and employee engagement.
“More and more Australian companies are seeing the value of promoting their sustainability story to employees, customers and investors,” said Managing Director Andrew Ure, OgilvyEarth.
“We are delighted to be involved in Australian Sustainability, which will be a landmark event for sustainability in Australian business in 2012.”
Zero Waste Australia works with government, business and the community to reduce waste going to landfill, encouraging the ethical and economical redesign of resource life cycles so that all products are re-used. It is committed to designing, supporting and helping to implement process changes to reduce costs, maximise efficiency and minimise environmental impacts.
“We believe zero waste to be a fundamental part of sustainability, and aim to help those driven to reduce waste as a component of their overall approach to becoming more sustainable,” said Kellie Walters, Chief Executive, Zero Waste Australia.
“Zero Waste Australia are excited about our role in the ASCE and look forward to sharing the benefit of our knowledge, systems and processes with all participants.”
The company has been involved with the Cooperating on Organics Out of Landfill (COOL) project, the Creating a Nutrient Loop project, the City to Soil project and the Groundswell project.
