The latest products on show at ARBS 2016
ARBS 2016, the international air-conditioning, refrigeration and building services trade exhibition, will be of interest to industry decision-makers, specifiers, engineers, contractors and trade technicians. This year’s event will features products and services from over 250 local, national and international manufacturers and suppliers.
Mitsubishi Heavy Industries will have the Q-ton CO2 air-to-water heat pump on show. CO2 hot water heat pumps have the ability to efficiently deliver sanitary hot water at 65–90°C, offering significant carbon and energy savings compared with hot water boilers. Q-ton is specifically designed to transfer heat from the ambient air into a water heating system. The refrigeration system uses CO2 as the working fluid and can be used to provide sanitary hot water in a wide range of buildings.
Seeley International will show visitors its latest Climate Wizard, which is said to generate more cool air volume than refrigerated systems. The product delivers fresh cool air indoors with no moisture added and is claimed to save up to 80% of energy for cooling when compared to equivalent refrigerated system performing the same duty.
BluOne will be showcasing TdX20 — a sustainable and energy-efficient R22 replacement. With R22 being phased out by 2020, users will either have to replace all their air-conditioning equipment or remove R22 refrigerant from their units and replace it with an approved replacement refrigerant. TdX20 is non-ozone depleting, requires no extra retrofitting or metering device changes and is expected to save the customer 20% of their energy bill whilst extending the life of the equipment.
Power Machinery will be displaying equipment from Vicon — a manufacturer of HVAC roll forming, cutting systems and sheet metal equipment. Vicon works to reduce material waste and operating costs, while enhancing productivity and profitability. The exhibit will include the Pittsburgh Seam Closer and Dual Head Corner Insertion Machine, which is also available in a single-head option.
Bitzer will showcase the latest in the Evolution series of condensing units, pocket-sized compressors for the transport sector and combo units that offer efficiency savings to the end user. A number of products will be operating throughout the show, giving visitors a chance to experience the full scope of the ‘combination’ unit: the Evolution condensing unit combined with PS Series evaporator fitted with EVD-ice superheat control and EEV.
Finally, Air Change will be launching its low-dewpoint dehumidification unit. The LD-ACDHUM has been designed to precisely dehumidify air to critically low dewpoint conditions and is one of the first of its kind in the Australian HVAC market.
These are just some of the products to be showcased at ARBS 2016, which will be held from 17–19 May 2016 at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre. Quick and easy registration is available online, which grants free entry into the exhibition across all three days. For more information, visit www.arbs.com.au.
