TGOOD Electric comes to Australia

Today marks the official launch of a new supplier in Australia’s power transmission and distribution market with the arrival of TGOOD Australia, the local branch of TGOOD Electric.

Founded in 2004 by a team of German and Chinese engineers, TGOOD specialises in vertically integrated substation solutions — from power products through to building and structural fabrication — and is an original equipment manufacturer of medium- and high-voltage power equipment. The company has recently expanded globally to North America, the Middle East, Africa, Central Asia and South America.

Now the company has entered the Australian market, with its regional HQ on Brisbane’s southside housing the five members of the TGOOD Australia team. The Brisbane office will also share the resources and skill pool of the company’s other six global offices.

“Australia represents a significant market,” said TGOOD Australia CEO Chris Ball. “We believe it is asking for a local company that provides increased commercial competitiveness, flexibility and, most importantly, vastly faster energy solutions, whilst still being backed by a global player.”

TGOOD has set its sights on Australian and New Zealand power and water utilities, engineering procurement construction firms (EPCs) and mining and oil/gas companies as potential clients — sectors which are under intense pressure to “deliver significant savings to the bottom line”, according to Ball.

He said his company can beat competitors’ lead times by “as much as 50%, regardless of the project’s scale — whether it be supplying a medium-voltage switchboard or designing and building a prefabricated substation”.

“Dramatically reduced lead times equals dramatically reduced overall project costs and, often, dramatically increased productivity,” Ball said. “This is where TGOOD comes into our own and represents a real game changer in the industry.”

Ball added that the company’s commitment to delivering fast energy solutions does not come at the expense of customer service. He said, “We pride ourselves on really listening to our clients and working collaboratively and pragmatically with them to achieve industry-leading results.”

He concluded by saying Australia should be excited to witness the birth of a new global player in such an established industry.

“We are here for the long haul and incredibly optimistic about the future.”
