EMSc - one of the UK’s leading energy saving solutions manufacturers - is expanding into the Asia-Pacific region with the opening of an Australian office for its voltage optimisation solution, Powerstar.

The decision to open a dedicated subsidiary was made due to the success of Powerstar in Australia over the past few years. The new office, which will be headed by Account Manager Doug Hamilton, will allow the company to further develop its market presence.

Powerstar reduces electrical energy consumption and has been proven to save up to 26.1% of consumed electricity. The system is designed and manufactured in the UK and holds the ‘Made in Sheffield’ accreditation.

The award-winning system is exported worldwide to countries including Sri Lanka, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bahrain, Malta and South Africa. The office in Australia will see the full range of fixed, variable and domestic voltage optimisation systems introduced to the market.

“Powerstar has been available in Australia for several years and has successfully been installed across a wide range of industries including government departments, supermarkets and cold storage facilities,” commented Paul North, International Business Development Manager.
