IICA Technology Expo explored instrumentation, control & automation
The recent IICA Technology Expo in Newcastle, NSW, allowed industry technology leaders across Australia to network and explore the latest advancements in automation, instrumentation and process control.
Attendees had the opportunity to discover a diverse range of products and services, both software and hardware, tailored to various needs, as well as firsthand experiences from companies at the forefront of Industry 4.0 evolution. Esteemed speakers discussed key topics ranging from AI imaging to sustainable innovation.
For example, Liam Manning demonstrated the practical applications of AI imaging, showcasing its transformative potential in optimising business operations. Ryan Muir presented sustainable flooring solutions, addressing the pressing issue of plastic waste through circular innovation. Dave Martin shared Delta Automation’s journey, highlighting cost-effective solutions for industrial automation.
Live demonstrations by companies such as Leuze and TURCK highlighted Industry 4.0 innovations, featuring advanced sensors and scanners. Siemens presented the SITRANS LT500, which is designed to provide level, flow and pump control with advanced features and compatibility with industry protocols. Endress+Hauser showcased products such as its ute equipped with the latest instrumentation technologies and its water rig that provides solutions for quantitative measuring and assessing in water management.
Overall, the expo exemplified the relentless pursuit of innovation in automation and instrumentation, providing a platform for collaboration and advancement.
